I am privileged to be a Mother of Eight by way of Homegrown, Adoption and Fostering. We are in the process of adopting TWO (twins)..making it Ten! I am married to my most wonderful easy going husband for almost twenty-three years. He is my balance.
Six of our Eight children have special needs varying from Autism, Seizures, Failure to Thrive (FTT), Hemiplegic Mild Cerebral Palsy, Neurological and Developmental Delays. We have been blessed in so many ways but it has been a roller coaster of a ride.
In 2004, I had an eye-opening experience and learned that my seeming “normal, wonderful” life was not the life I would have any longer. A fluke of trauma, I am now dealing with CRPS/RSD among some other issues from the accident along with OCD but having overcome many obstacles along the way. There was a period in my life that was not good and I wanted every question answered mostly WHY? I know GOD knocked on my door and when I finally opened it and stopped asking the question of why; found the positive our life changed, my life changed!
Interesting enough, I would not change what happened as it has opened a whole new world and I love every minute! Nevertheless, I am total night owl (my hubby calls me a vampire) after all said and done I enjoy watching the sunrise while blogging. I can watch the same movie over and over. I am never far from a Pepsi or a 6-Pump Venti Mocha Frappuccino with an add shot along with a few sticks of black and red licorice. With everything I remember to always smile no matter what while always finding time to blow bubbles with the kiddo’s.
